Crusader Kings III 1.20.1.2
Domain, vassal & duchy limits
How much a ruler can hold before the game takes something back: the domain and vassal limit of each title tier, the held-duchies penalty and the duke's county limit — every number with the define or modifier it comes from.
In Crusader Kings III a ruler of king tier or above may hold 2 duchies before vassals take -15 opinion per duchy too many (MAX_DUCHIES_BEFORE_PENALTY, TOO_MANY_DUCHIES_OPINION); a player of duke tier or lower loses 5% income per county above 30 in the realm; each holding over the domain limit takes 20% off domain tax and 20% off levies, and the tier modifiers give a domain limit of 1 (baron), 2 (count), 2 (duke), 3 (king), 4 (emperor), 5 (hegemon). Patch 1.20.1.2, from game/common/defines/00_defines.txt and game/common/modifiers/00_basic_modifiers.txt.
