Game concept

Contractor

The game also links it as Contractors, Contractor's, Contractors'.

From the game's encyclopedia

A Contractor is the Character putting out a Contract.

The Contract will generally chiefly affect them, and they are usually the one paying an Adventurer's wages.

Criminal Contracts are generally not put out by their Contractor, and instead focus on exploiting them — for instance, tricking someone into giving you Gold because they signaled their gullability.
