Game concept
Available Spouse
From the game's encyclopedia
In order to serve on a ruler's Council, a Spouse must be available to carry out the responsibilities of that role.
Various circumstances can prevent a Spouse from fulfilling these responsibilities, but several of the most common ones include:
• Being the Ruler of their own Realm
• Residing in another Ruler's Court
• Being Imprisoned, either at home or abroad
• Having the Incapable Trait
If an unavailable Spouse becomes available again, they will automatically resume their duties on the Council.
Spouses who are Rulers in their own right can still serve on the Council if they are your Direct Vassals, but otherwise will never be considered available.
