This character is widely-known to old soldiers as a figure sympathetic to their cause. This Modifier bypasses the requirements on the Impress Mercenaries option of the Scrape the Barrel Interaction.

Friend to Old Soldiers (modifier ID ep3_friend_to_old_soldiers_modifier) is a named modifier in Crusader Kings III, in the Roads to Power files. It gives Martial +1, Monthly Prestige +5%. The script puts it on a character. One place in the game's script adds it: Starving Soldiers (event ep3_laamps.5015). Patch 1.20.1.2, from game/common/modifiers/07_ep3_modifiers.txt.
