Game concept
Harrying of the North
From the game's encyclopedia
Norman rulers and the recently-deposed Anglo-Saxon nobles are locked in a fierce battle for control over England. Such a contest won't end until one or both groups have been wholly removed from power.
As the situation progresses, actions they and other characters take will govern the Resistance and Pacification levels of the region.
Higher Resistance will lead to:
• Lower Cultural Acceptance
• Lower County Control
• A higher chance of Claimant Factions or even a Civil War.
Higher Pacification will lead to:
• Higher Cultural Acceptance
• Rising Dread for the ruler of England
• Access to the Embrace English Culture Decision.
