Knowledge lost to time (modifier ID followers_of_dead_faith_scheme_modifier) is a named modifier in Crusader Kings III, in the By God Alone files. It gives Scheme Phase Length 1800 days slower per Scheme Phase. The script puts it on a scheme. One place in the game's script adds it: Find Adherent (scheme). Patch 1.20.1.2, from game/common/modifiers/11_pam_study_faith_modifiers.txt.
