A defeated Army reduces the amount of Casualties they take in the Aftermath of a Battle by their Army's combined Screen value.

Screen is an entry of Crusader Kings III's in-game encyclopedia. The game explains it: "A defeated Army reduces the amount of Casualties they take in the Aftermath of a Battle by their Army's combined Screen value."
