Tanistry Elective
Tanistry Elective is a title succession law in Crusader Kings III: The Ruler and all Vassals above the Rank of Baron and one or two ranks below the Title can nominate a Title Heir — the Tanist — from among the members of the ruler's Dynasty. Vassals will tend to favor older, distant relatives over Close Family. Passing it costs 500 prestige before modifiers. Patch 1.20.0.3, from game/common/laws/01_title_succession_laws.txt.
