In the Thuringian forest, perched atop a great, rocky precipice, this fortress controls all movement of goods and men through the region. A heavy barbican guards the only access to the castle, and tall white walls snake through the crevices of the mountain. The Palas, is the most important building in the complex, a massive hall of cold stone warmed by the many hearths within.
