Special building
Kizuki Taisha
izumo_taisha_01This great Shinto shrine - a taisha - has been built near the shore, facing the sea. It rises upon a series of enormous wooden pillars and thick trunks, lifting its halls high above the ground where mortals walk, and into the sky where the gods and spirits of the land live.
